Wood slats are a decorative element of the interior that is becoming more and more popular. They are stylish, timeless, elegant, and glamorous. They perfectly diversify the appearance of the interior. They give him character, style, and class. They make being surrounded by them makes you think "it's kind of luxurious here".
In what interiors do they work best? What do their construction and assembly look like? Is it really worth deciding on them? You will learn about this and more from this article.

But let's start from the beginning.

The use of wooden wall coverings as decoration or insulation began in the 13th century. Their history is long and rich. However, what we associate most with this term is the People's Republic of Poland. Do you remember the paneling in your grandma's apartment? Flat wooden strips attached to the wall or ceiling? It was a hit. They improved the acoustics and thermal insulation of the interior, protected the walls against dirt and additionally raised the prestige of the apartment. Next to the wall unit and wooden bead curtains in the passage to the kitchen, they have become a symbol of the era. Fashion likes to come back, but hates repetition in a 1: 1 reflection. Hence, modern slats may be associated with a retro wall in their own way, but they are completely different. Nowadays, this name covers thin, simple decorative strips of various cross-sections and finishes. They are still mainly made of wood and wood-based materials. On the market, however, you can also find slats made of other materials, such as thermoformed slats made of plastic.

The ACUSLAT offer includes slats made of MDF ( medium-density fiberboard ) on a thick felt backing. Our bestseller is the slat finished with oak veneer. However, are you looking for something in a color or other wood pattern? No problem. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the BLACK OAK series of veneered slat panels. Strips with dimensions of 2.9 x depth. 1.1 x H 265 cm, covered with decorative veneer printed on paper of various weights. Thanks to the impregnation in mass, the base paper gains high parameters of flexibility and tear resistance. As a result, this type of veneer does not require additional refinement and can be printed and varnished in line ("in-line" printing).

The simple form of lamellas, the range of colors and the materials used make them suitable for virtually any interior, but we recommend them for several leading styles. First of all, a living room or a bedroom decorated in a Scandinavian style will be the perfect place. Oak veneer fits perfectly into the northern aesthetics, which in the first place emphasizes natural materials, in this case wood. Lamella decorations also fit perfectly with minimalist or industrial arrangements - both in light and dark colors.

We already know where they came from, what they are and what interiors they fit. But how to mount them?

It might seem that the installation of wall lamellas is a difficult and time-consuming task. Nothing could be more wrong! Even novice interior decorators will find it easy to make a wall of lamellas. First of all, the installation of this type of decoration does not require drilling in the walls, and thus - it does not cause a lot of mess. Of course, you can choose the second way and attach them to the slats previously screwed on the wall with screws. Both solutions are perfect as a way to quickly refresh the interior arrangement. You do not need special tools or great experience in the field of interior finishing. All you need to do is stock up on with mounting glue or a screwdriver, an upholstery knife, assembly instructions and a bit of willingness and free time. Remember that the substrate should be smooth, cleaned and possibly degreased. Choose a place to decorate, create a pattern of your choice and that's it! Your original and stylish decoration is ready. Order and see for yourself how satisfying the slats are - their effect in the interior and the fact that you can install them yourself!
