WOOD SLATS - A WAY TO MODERN AND ORIGINAL INTERIORS.

The use of wooden wall coverings as decoration or insulation began in the 13th century. Their history is long and rich. However, what we associate most with this term is the People's Republic of Poland. Do you remember the paneling in your grandma's apartment? Flat wooden strips attached to the wall or ceiling? It was a hit. They improved the acoustics and thermal insulation of the interior, protected the walls against dirt and additionally raised the prestige of the apartment. Next to the wall unit and wooden bead curtains in the passage to the kitchen, they have become a symbol of the era. Fashion likes to come back, but hates repetition in a 1: 1 reflection. Hence, modern slats may be associated with a retro wall in their own way, but they are completely different. Nowadays, this name covers thin, simple decorative strips of various cross-sections and finishes. They are still mainly made of wood and wood-based materials. On the market, however, you can also find slats made of other materials, such as thermoformed slats made of plastic.
